CollabraLink Technologies, Inc. (CollabraLink) recently partnered with ASPAN to provide over eighty bagged meals in support of the Homeless Bagged Meal Program. ASPAN is a homeless shelter in Arlington, VA that helps homeless people to secure permanent housing, and provides them with life sustaining services. CollabraLink employees provided the materials needed to make the meals and they were assembled in the McLean office. Joey Fadul, Software Developer, led the community service initiative and commented, “I was really happy with how many people participated. CollabraLink encourages employees to come up with ideas to support the community and I had the support of our Executive Team. I sent an email around, and everyone started to sign up for items that were needed.”
When asked what was the most rewarding aspect of the event he replied, “It was really fun giving back to the community with my coworkers. We definitely had the music going while everyone worked.”
CollabraLink aspires to be a socially responsible organization. While the company initiates larger, companywide service events, CollabraLink also encourages its employees to come up with their own ideas that they would like to get others involved in.
